SAFER and UMTRI have signed an MoU for the purpose of exploring the possibility to set up two Connected Analysis Centres (CACs), to be able to do remote analysis of each others data. During 2013, the technical facilities for initial tests for safe remote analysis, including annotation of video data, were set up and the tests showed promising results. Work is now on-going to set-up a CAC embedded in the regular analysis environment. This work has been funded by the projects VR Planeringsbidrag (Swedish Research Council) and ND platform (VINNOVA). This project will test and confirm the stability of the CACs through doing an analysis project together including annotation. The project will capitalize on the work done in other analysis projects, choosing methods that has already been used on other datasets. This gives the opportunity to compare with earlier results and also keep the needed funds for preparation at a low level, as the main purpose is testing the concept.
