Developing methods for calculating key performance indicators for safe driving based on data mining on large naturalistic data
Period
17 February–30 November 2014
Project manager
Selpi
In this project, we aim to: explore the use of data mining and possibly other methods to find driving pattern(s) that can be used for the calculation of safety KPIs; investigate the relationship between driving patterns and general driver characteristics (e.g. age, gender, etc) as well as environmental parameters (e.g. weather, road conditions, traffic situation); conduct a thorough state of the art review of the research on driving styles and driver profiling based on on-board data.
