Project

Field Data Acquisition and Analysis Methods for Car Safety Development

Period
15 December 2008–31 March 2015
Project manager
Emma Tivesten

Ongoing field data studies (e.g. FOT, NDS) offer possibilities to address safety issues with respect to safe driving. This data, combined with conventional accident data and other sources, enables new collection and analysis methods to formulate improved safety requirements and strategies within the car safety development process. The overall objective with this project is to build up competence within data acquisition and analysis methods and to create objective input data measures of human aspects in critical situations as well as normal driving. This project focuses on real world knowledge, the first step of car safety development.
