Fluid Structure Interaction in HBM
Period
1 January 2016–1 January 2017
Project manager
Håkan Nilsson
The aim of the project is to use and publish computational methods to develop and validate advanced models of the cervical spine and the cervical venous plexus. The models will enable prediction of the transient flow and pressure events in the spinal canal that take place during rapid cervical bending motion similar to “whiplash motion” of the type that is commonly resulting in long lasting symptoms in the neck region of car occupants after a car collision. The project focuses on publications.
