IGLAD – New Dataset Released!
IGLAD is the "Initiative for the Global Harmonization of (in-depth) Accident Data" and is the only continuous international effort to provide a database of in-depth accident data from different countries around the world within a unified data scheme. Data from traffic safety researchers from Europe, North America, South America, Asia, and Australia is merged on a yearly basis into the IGLAD database. It also offers a platform for accident researchers worldwide to communicate and share experiences and knowledge around accident research. The non-profit project is completely self-funded and offers its data to interested parties to be used for research purposes charging a moderate membership fee.
In early August, the IGLAD team proudly announced the new release of its annual IGLAD dataset:
"This latest update adds 1,000 new cases (from accident years 2022 and 2023) contributed by eight data providers across seven different countries, bringing the total number of cases in our merged database to 12,726.
In addition to the new data, this release includes several important bug-fixes and corrections to previously submitted data, enhancing the overall quality and consistency of the IGLAD database.
We sincerely thank all contributors for their ongoing commitment and collaboration. Your efforts continue to support meaningful research and analysis in global accident data."
You'll find all information about this project and its data on the official IGLAD Website.
