Interoperable RSU
Full title: Interoperable Roadside Unit (RSU) Prototype
This project builds directly upon the company’s previously successful Vinnova funded pre-study, "Safer Crossways using I2V," aiming to enhance traffic safety innovations. The prototype will concentrate on creating advanced, sensor-agnostic Roadside Units (RSUs) to advance automated driving safety, focusing on the protection of road users in and outside the vehicle. By developing truly interoperable RSUs, we can provide critical, real-time safety information to vehicles and accelerate the adoption of I2V technology, which is essential for building a truly safe and cooperative transport system.
Traffic safety benefit: The project will have a specific focus area on "The safety of road users in and outside the vehicle," addressing critical interactions between vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and infrastructure.
