PhD Defence: Ali Nouri – Accelerating DevSafeOps for Autonomous Driving

Date
22 September 2026 13:30-17:00
Place
Styrbord Lecture Hall, Campus Lindholmen, Gothenburg and Teams

On 22 September 2026, Ali Nouri will defend his doctoral thesis, “Accelerating DevSafeOps for Autonomous Driving via Generative-AI and Synthetic Data”, at Chalmers University of Technology.

Ali’s research focuses on how the development and safety assurance of autonomous driving systems can be accelerated through DevSafeOps, generative AI and synthetic data. His work addresses an increasingly important challenge for automated driving: how to develop complex software rapidly and continuously while maintaining rigorous safety processes and evidence throughout the development lifecycle.

The thesis explores how modern AI-based methods and synthetic data can support more efficient development, testing and safety assurance of autonomous driving systems – contributing to the transition towards more agile yet safety-critical software development.
