SAFER Project Leadership Award
This recognition is awarded to an individual who, over SAFER’s 20 years of operation, has led the highest number of partner projects within the SAFER portfolio. By linking projects into the portfolio, Mats Svensson, Chalmers University of Technology, has created valuable conditions for learning, knowledge exchange and synergies among network partners. His engagement has strengthened both the impact of individual projects and SAFER’s overall capacity to contribute to safer traffic environments for all.

SAFER Leadership Award
This recognition is awarded to an individual who, through long-term engagement in leading roles within SAFER, in the management team, board and competence networks, has made a lasting impact on the organisation. Throughout SAFER’s 20-year development, Mats Svensson, Chalmers University of Technology, has with continuity, commitment and strategic vision contributed to shaping direction, strengthening collaboration and developing the network’s collective capacity. SAFER Idea Development Awards
This recognition is awarded to the two individuals who have submitted the highest number of applications to SAFER’s Idea Exploration Program. In doing so, they have played an important role in initiating new pre-studies in road safety. Their efforts have not only resulted in individual initiatives, but have also strengthened SAFER’s ability to develop research areas, build new collaborations and lay the foundation for future projects that benefit safer traffic environments for all.
