Full title: Drive Safe at Work – Strategies to Improve Employee Driving Behavior

The project focuses on occupational safety and addresses the issue of traffic accidents involving employees who drive as part of their job but are not professional drivers. Lack of training, stress, fatigue, and work schedules can contribute to accidents and musculoskeletal issues. Physical, psychological, and functional discomfort may also lead to improper use of safety systems. By using an action‑based research approach and a co‑creation methodology, the aim is to develop and test practical strategies and solutions that strengthen knowledge and improve traffic‑safety behavior. Target groups include healthcare and social service staff, tradespeople in service and construction, and employees in technology companies who drive to customers. The project will generate scientific insights and practical tools that help integrate traffic safety into occupational health and safety practices, ultimately reducing the risk of work‑related driving injuries.

Traffic safety benefit: The project improves traffic safety by increasing knowledge and supporting safer driving behavior, ultimately lowering the risk of work‑related accidents.

Key words: traffic safety, driver behaviour, occupational health, work organization, work-related injuries
