Analyzing Road-User Behavior for Active Safety - Docent lecture
Marco Dozza, Division of Vehicle Safety, Department of Applied Mechanics, Chalmers University of Technology, welcomes you to his docent lecture.
Title: Analyzing Road-User Behavior for Active Safety
This docent lecture will give an overview of recent trends in analysis of field data for traffic safety. By highlighting the novelty of naturalistic data in relation to other road data, this lecture will explain how road-user behavior can be assessed and inform the design of active safety systems.
Marco Dozza was awarded his Ph.D. in Bioengineering in 2007, after defending a thesis on the use of biofeedback systems to condition human motor control. In the same year, he was employed as a System Developer at Volvo Technology, leading several projects on active safety.
In 2009 he started working for Chalmers, where he became a Senior Lecturer in 2011. He has spent most of his research efforts leading projects on analysis of naturalistic driving –and more recently cycling– data combining engineering and human factors. Marco is a researcher at SAFER.
Besides his research activities, Marco has been involved in several teaching activities including courses on traffic safety in the Master Programme for Automotive Engineering.
