18th International ACM Conference on Automotive User Interfaces and Interactive Vehicular Applications (AutoUI)
The 18th International ACM Conference on Automotive User Interfaces and Interactive Vehicular Applications (AutoUI 2026) will take place in Gothenburg in September 2026, bringing one of the world’s leading research forums on human-centred mobility and automotive interaction to the SAFER ecosystem and the wider West Swedish innovation landscape. This is a highly relevant and strategically important activity for Gothenburg, and we hope many SAFER partners will take the opportunity to engage through participation, submissions, exhibitions, sponsorships, workshops, and networking activities.
Several organisations from the SAFER network are actively involved in the organisation of the conference, including Chalmers University of Technology, the University of Gothenburg, Volvo Group, Volvo Cars, Geely, AstaZero, RISE, and other partners across academia, industry, and society. SAFER strongly supports this engagement and will host the Doctoral Colloquium as well as contribute to seminars and activities connected to the conference. We see AutoUI 2026 as an important step in our shared knowledge-building around future safe and sustainable mobility systems, human-machine interaction, automation, user behaviour, and inclusive mobility.
