The symposium "AstaZero Researchers Day" (http://goo.gl/Vlg9CM) will be held on April 14, 2015 on the new proving ground AstaZero in Sweden (http://www.astazero.com). The symposium serves as a forum for researchers, experts, and practitioners to explore and discuss recent research results, challenges, and opportunities in the area of intelligent and safe vehicular systems.
Description
Nowadays, modern vehicles are powered by complex functions for comfort, safety, and even semi-autonomous driving. These functions range from lane-keeping assistants, over emergency braking guards, to piloted driving for traffic jam situations. In the future, more and more traffic situations will be even covered by cooperative and semi-autonomous functions to take over tedious scenarios for example.
However, the requirements specification, design, implementation, validation, and verification of such functions are becoming more and more complex. Thus, multiple disciplines like mechanical, electrical, and software engineering as well as competence from human factors and product design is required to tackle the upcoming challenges.
