Johannes Främby will defend his doctoral thesis “Methods for efficient modelling of progressive failure in laminated fibre-reinforced composites” 17 January at 9:00. Faculty opponent will be Prof. Stephen Hallett from the University of Bristol.

Johannes Främby is a doctoral Student at Chalmers, Industrial and Materials Science, Material and Computational Mechanics and one of two Ph.D. students in the FFI-project 'Modelling crash behaviour in future lightweight composite vehicles'. The project is focusing on homogenisation of the micro behaviour in the composite material during crushing.
