Docent Lecture by Jonas Östh: Bottom Up and Top Down: Developing and Applying Human Body Models for Safer Cars
Welcome to Jonas Östh's Docent Lecture "Bottom Up and Top Down: Developing and Applying Human Body Models for Safer Cars"!
Bio and Abstract:
Jonas Östh is working with frontal crash occupant safety analysis at the Volvo Cars Safety Centre. He has a Ph.D. from the School of Machine and Vehicle Systems since 2014 and a background as a researcher and teacher at the Division of Vehicle Safety. His research focuses on finite element Human Body Models (HBMs), which are developed and used with the aim of analysing the occupant response in car crashes. The research is carried out in connection to the SAFER Traffic and Vehicle Safety Centre at Chalmers. The lecture will give an overview of how an HBM is developed from the start and also exemplify how it can be applied the development of safer cars.
After the lecture there will be a get-together with coffee and cake in SAFER's lunch room. Please send Sonja an e-mail to help us ensure we have the right amount of fika for you (see e-mail below)!
Welcome!
