Exploring the societal impacts of autonomous vehicles: Insights from Erik Almlöf’s research
We warmly invite you to our Thursday seminar on December 5, where we are excited to host Erik Almlöf from SWECO. Erik, who completed his PhD at KTH, has garnered significant attention for his research on the societal impacts of autonomous vehicles.
Safety in automated mobility is one of our key focus areas, and autonomous vehicles are often presented as the inevitable future of transportation—transforming the way we move, work, and live. However, beneath this optimistic outlook lies a complex reality that demands careful examination. In his doctoral research, Erik explored the societal effects of autonomous transport and how public governance should be aligned to achieve sustainability goals.
Erik conducted his research at the Integrated Transport Research Lab (ITRL), a research center dedicated to integrating diverse perspectives and methods to gain a deeper understanding of technology’s societal impact.
Join us for what promises to be an insightful and engaging discussion!
