INCIDENTS: Increased Safety and Sustainability in Transport of Dangerous Goods
We are excited to invite you to a seminar with Urban Nuldén and Ann-Sophie Sallander from Gothenburg University, where he will share insights from the project INCIDENTS: Increased Safety and Sustainability in Transport of Dangerous Goods. Urban will present a critical analysis of accident reporting in Sweden, a vital aspect of the country's traffic safety efforts.
About Urban Nuldén
Urban Nuldén is an Associate Professor in Informatics and has been researching various aspects of societal crisis management since 2001. Prior to that, he explored the use of information technology to support teaching and learning. With 15 years of experience in leadership roles at research institutes and within academia, Urban’s challenge-driven research has focused on society’s preparedness for crises and accidents, closely linked to the transport of dangerous goods. His work involves close collaboration with various authorities and actors in the transport sector, with a particular focus on safety advisors for dangerous goods transportation.
About Ann-Sophie Sallander
Societal challenges drive my research and are attributable to society's preparedness for and learning from accidents in close connection with the transport of dangerous goods. The research is carried out in a practical collaboration with several different authorities and actors in the transport industry. A particular focus is given to the safety advisers for the transport of dangerous goods, and I have, among other things, written a book together with Urban: Safety Advisers for the Transport of Dangerous Goods - A Key to Increased Safety (Jure 2022). The research questions are complex and span an extensive area, which is highly suitable for interdisciplinary collaboration, where I take a starting point in public law. I believe that a genuine interdisciplinary approach to research is developmental and contributes to a broader understanding, and provides new opportunities.
This seminar promises to provide a comprehensive overview of complex research questions that span multiple fields, offering a rich interdisciplinary perspective on improving safety in the transport of dangerous goods
We look forward to seeing you there for an engaging and informative session!
