We have a new adjunct professor in the SAFER community! Most welcome to Nils Lübbe's inaugural lecture "Learning from crash data to make road traffic safer".

Abstract
Crash data analysis tells us whether 30 km/h speed zones eliminate pedestrian injuries and whether an 80 km/h speed limit on rural roads is necessary. Analyzing which injuries occur most frequently helps to focus on what is most important. Crash data can serve to validate the tools used to engineer safety systems and to predict the safety challenges for future road traffic.

About Nils
Nils Lübbe is Director of Research at Autoliv. He has academic qualifications in Science and Engineering, including a PhD from Chalmers University of Technology. His research is centered in vehicle safety analysis, including benefit estimations for active safety and automated driving; injury risks in traffic collisions; and concepts to prevent harm in real-world crashes. The research is connected to a multitude of national and international projects, including collaborations with the Vehicle Safety Division at the Mechanics and Maritime Sciences Department, Chalmers University of Technology.

You are welcome to join the lecture either through Teams or at campus Lindholmen.
