Masters thesis presentation: Numerical simulation of traffic-related brain injuries

In this thesis, a model of the human head is proposed for investigations in brain injuries. The geometry model consists in three layers of different materials that correspond to the skull, the cerebro spinal fluid (CSF) and the brain. The aim of the thesis is try to understand the injury mechanisms in a frontal impact on the head, focusing in the special behavior of the CSF and its interaction within the brain.
