SAFER lunch webinar: Safety assurance for automated vehicles
On Thursday March 3rd, 11:30-12:30 Fredrik Sandblom our Competence network leader for Safety assurance will host the lunch webinar! You will get to hear from Dr. Fredrik Warg and Dr. Gabriel Rodrigues de Campos, both experts in aspects related to safety assurance.
Welcome to this interesting event, so bring your questions, join us and sign up!
Addressing the safety implications of interactions between humans and automated vehicles
Dr. Fredrik Warg from RISE will present work on a safety analysis method for interactions between humans and automated vehicles being investigated in three ongoing research projects: VALU3S, SCAT, and SALIENCE4CAV. This issue is important as human interaction is one of the risk sources that needs to be addressed, which is also acknowledged in standards such as ISO 21488 (SOTIF), UL4600 and ISO TR 4804. The talk will be about a proposed human interaction safety analysis method, and some on-going work on using driver-in-the-loop tests as part of this analysis.
Precautionary Safety for Autonomous Driving Systems: Adapting Driving Policies to Satisfy Quantitative Risk Norms
Dr. Gabriel Rodrigues de Campos is specializing in safe trajectory planning for automated driving systems at Zenseact and is also member of the SAP&AD reference group here at SAFER. He will give a talk on Precautionary Safety, based on a recently published article (https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/9564879), and will discuss on how to adapt a driving policy to meet a quantitative risk norm.
All SAFER Thursday lunch webinars will be held online, via Microsoft Teams, exclusively for SAFER partners, please come back to malin.levin@chalmers.se if you would like to sign up!
