The seminar week 39 is all about Euro NCAP, the European New Car Assessment Programme. Rikard Fredriksson from the Swedish Transport Administration and Fredrik Åkeson, AstaZero, will present what the future holds and discuss updates, methods and test campaigns.

Euro NCAP – What’s happening next?

The Euro NCAP consumer test program has been very successful in driving car safety in Europe, both for car occupants but also to other road users, such as pedestrians and cyclists. Their methods are sharpened continuously, and during 2020-2025 several updates or test campaigns are planned. These will both enhance current passive and active car safety systems, but also cover new areas such as e.g. powered two-wheelers, commercial vehicles, virtual testing, assisted driving and driver inattention monitoring. 
Rikard Fredriksson, from Swedish Transport Administration and one of the partners of Euro NCAP, together with Fredrik Åkeson from , which is one of the accredited test labs, will present what is happening next in Euro NCAP.
