SAFER ONLINE SEMINAR: FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH TRAFIKVERKET & REVERE - 60 SECONDS OF HIGHWAY DRIVING IN SWEDEN AND INDIA
The SAFER Thursday seminar series continues with speakers from the Swedish Transport Administration and REVERE – Resource for Vehicle Research at Chalmers, a SAFER connected research resource. Ulrika Landelius will discuss project funding opportunities and Arpit Karsolia will present some of REVERE’s data collection work in Sweden and India!

Funding opportunities from The Swedish Transport Administration’s Research & Innovation portfolios
Speaker: Ulrika Landelius, Program Manager, Swedish Transport Administration
Ulrika Landelius from the Swedish Transport Administration will present how we in the research community can apply for funding for projects that support Sweden’s national research and innovation plan (Trafikverkets Forsknings- och Innovationsportföljer). Ulrika will briefly present the portfolios and the application procedure. Some of the prioritized areas include e.g. new innovations in line with the Vision Zero, infrastructure in a connected society, upgrading current infrastructure, traffic safety and maintenance, vulnerable road users, i.e. also in line with some of SAFER’s core research areas. Not many of SAFER’s current project are funded from these portfolios and we like to share and learn more about this opportunity.
60 seconds of Highway Driving in Sweden & India
Speaker: Arpit Karsolia, Research Engineer, REVERE – Resource for Vehicle Research at Chalmers
Chalmers REVERE (SAFER connected research resource) has been involved in multiple world-leading projects that have work packages involving data collection in Sweden & India. In the AutoFreight Project (Sweden), a logistics truck combination operating between Göteborg & Viared (80km) has been equipped (since 2019) with a REVERE data logging solution(v1). In the Safe & Secure Transport Corridor India (SSTCI) project, a passenger bus commuting between Bengaluru & Mysore (142km) has been equipped (since 2021) with a REVERE data logging solution(v2). In this seminar, we will briefly showcase the architecture, collection methodology & value of the data over 60 seconds of highway driving on a selected traffic scenario.
Welcome!
