Assessment of a Pre-crash Seatbelt Technology in Frontal Impacts by Using a New Crash Test Sled System

The objective of this study is to investigate the influence of pre-impact braking on the injury in the front-impact test with a dummy, which was improved for this experiment based on the data of the volunteer test and simulation with computer human model. The results of this study were applied to the design safety criteria of the occupant restraint system. The future goal of this study is not only to provide the design parameter of the restraint system but also to identify how to ensure the best assessment of occupant protection in considering the pre-crash safety.

Time: Thursday April 10, 10:00 – 11:30 (before SAFER Thursday seminar)
Place: Demostudion, Lindholmspiren 3.

Welcome!
