SAFER-seminar: Driver-automation interaction – modeling, behavioral adaptation, and interaction design with Prof. David Abbink
Prof. David Abbink will join us during Linda Pipkorn's PhD defense in November and we have got the opportunity to learn from him! Welcome to join this seminar, either at SAFER or online!
David Abbink is a Professor in Haptic Human-Robot Interaction at the Department of Cognitive Robotics, Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. The title of his talk will be "Driver-automation interaction – modeling, behavioral adaptation, and interaction design".
Abstract:
In this talk, I will share my perspective on the need for an integrated view on driver-automation interaction, driver modeling, designing for behavioral adaptations. Recent work in our lab has attempted to advance insights in these three domains simulataneously, by theoretical work (e.g. in risk-modeling, behavioral adaptation, interactive behavior between drivers), design (haptic shared control, support systems that anticipate on behavioral adaptation) and empirical studies. I look forward to share these insights at this events and discuss them with you in an interactive manner.
