Key requirements for the measurement and rating of distraction potential by in-vehicle user interfaces
Speaker: Tuomo Kujala, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Cognitive Science, Faculty of Information Technology, University of Jyväskylä, Finland

This presentation overviews key requirements for the operationalization of driver distraction based on a credible definition of inattention. The presentation concludes by introducing an example of a distraction testing procedure for benchmarking in-vehicle UIs, which fulfills the requirements.
