Study tour to Lund
On 12 March, we are planning a study tour to Lund/Helsingborg, with a clear focus on strengthening research collaboration and creating new links between new and old colleagues, competences, ongoing research tracks, and emerging research questions across the network.
The day is designed to:
- deepen our shared understanding of partners’ research interests, methodological strengths, and research infrastructure/test environments.
- Enable matching of capabilities and needs (data, tools, labs, demo platforms).
- initiate new collaboration pathways (joint project ideas, pre-studies, pilot set-ups) and build a foundation for upcoming proposals.
- allow time for technical dialogue and “show-and-tell” around methods, prototypes, and current development work.
We will travel together by coach from Lindholmen in Gothenburg. Meals are included.
Practical details
- Date: Thursday, 12 March
- Departure: 07:00 from Lindholmen (light breakfast served on the coach)
- Return to Gothenburg: approx. 19:30

~12:45 Departure to Lund
~13:15 Arrival to Lund (Trivector, Vävaregatan 21)
13:30 Trivector: Presentation + short site walk-through
At Trivector, we are given insight into research and consultancy projects on systematic traffic safety implementation in organisations and at the local level. And we truly take on the “local level” as well… Trivector guides us through real traffic environments and tram operations to the next destination of the day. This gives us insight into projects where traffic safety for vulnerable road users is studied in relation to the new tram line in Lund.
14:30 Mittlogik – Introduction + Thematic research tracks for collaboration (venue tbd)
Mittlogik is a Swedish tech company working with software and smart mobility solutions. During the visit, they will introduce the company and present a set of thematic research tracks where they see strong potential for collaboration. With a road safety angle, the session will highlight how their work can support safer traffic in complex urban environments, for example through connected and data-driven approaches that improve situational awareness and help reduce risks, especially for vulnerable road users.
You will meet Sumesh Pushpangadan (CEO) and Sudha Pushpangadan for an open dialogue on shared interests and possible next steps.
15:15 Walk to Terranet (Mobilvägen 10)
15:30 Terranet
Terranet will serve fika and demonstrate the BlincVision sensor solution in a lab environment. The demonstration will show how event cameras, a laser scanner, software, and an AI model work together to enable rapid detection.
16:15 Departure towards Gothenburg (light meal will be served on the bus)
19:30 Arrival to Gothenburg
Warm welcome!
