Sep, 21 2015

The PhD student Ruth Paas' research will help universities and industry to ensure that their models are in line with experimental data, which ultimately helps to reduce the number of deaths and seriously injured pedestrians in traffic. She received the Murray Mackay Young Researcher Award at IRCOBI.

On 9-11 September, Ruth Paas participated in the IRCOBI conference and was awarded the Murray Mackay Young Researcher Award. Ruth Paas is working in the Human Body Model cluster at SAFER, and she was awarded for her paper: ”Which Pragmatic Finite Element Human Body Model Scaling Technique Can Most Accurately Predict Head Impact Conditions in Pedestrian-Car Crashes”.

SAFER congratulates her to the award and that her work is appreciated and recognized for its quality.
