During the week June 8-12, 2015, the ESV2015 took place in Gothenburg. It was a true success. 856 delegates from 26 countries and 34 sponsors and exhibitors all together made ESV2015 a unique meeting place.

More than 170 paper presentations were given and eight student teams participated in the student competition. The hosts SAFER, Swedish Transport Administration and NHTSA are very satisfied and according to the evaluation the delegates are too.

- We are very proud having hosted the whole global road safety community in Gothenburg. SAFER is a part of the ecosystem of traffic safety in Sweden and we are truly satisfied with the ESV week, says Anna Nilsson-Ehle, director at SAFER.

The ESV week started off with Anna Johansson, Swedish Minister for Infrastructure, and Mark R. Rosekind, Administrator at National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, who opened the conference. The opening day continued with an engaged panel discussion on the theme for the conference “Traffic Safety through Integrated Technologies”. The two parallel special sessions on automated vehicles and integrated safety, were highly appreciated and were two topics for continued discussion through the whole ESV week.

More than 130 news articles regarding ESV have been published so far in national and international press.

At ESV2015 it was premiere for the ESV app, which had an adoptions rate of 73% which is considered very high. The app contains abstracts, exhibitors, networking possibilities, general information, and maps etc. The technical demos at AstaZero were unique for this conference.
