Report from WHO: Post-crash response 2016

Jan, 26 2017

WHO has recently presented an interesting report that addresses post-crash, and what should be done in this area. The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development has recently reiterated this priority by setting a target for 50% reduction in road traffic deaths and injuries by 2020. This document addresses the fifth pillar: the post-crash response. The main conclusions are that an effective post-crash response requires integration of injury care, mental health services, legal support and legislation, and data on road traffic crashes and injuries. It is gratifying to see that the profile and focus SAFER has within Care and Rescue fit in well here.
