Traffic safety footprint – a tool to achieve a sustainable transport system

The long-term and overall road safety goal is that no one should be killed or is seriously injured as a result of a traffic accident and the municipalities have an important role to play here. In this project, representatives of Gothenburg's Traffic office and Partille municipality together with experts from SWECO, DuWill, SAFER and NTF have begun to explore how a municipality can identify its own traffic safety footprint. The municipalities' traffic safety work is directed towards the goal to reduce the number of deaths and injuries in traffic within the municipality. This the study is an approach to study the impact of one's own operations on traffic safety based on the municipality's value chains and how you can work for it to follow up and ultimately reduce their road safety footprint.
