Automated vehicles in Sweden are demonstrated to EU transport ministries in Gothenburg

On June 19, Sweden and Infrastructure Minister Tomas Eneroth will host a meeting about connected and automated vehicles in Gothenburg. The meeting is the third high level meeting for the follow-up of the so-called Amsterdam Declaration and an opportunity to visualize Swedish successful work in the field of connected and automated driving.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss how developments in the field of connected, collaborative and automated vehicles and systems can be made more harmonized within the EU and thus allow for tests and demonstration. The meeting ends with a demonstration of automated vehicles - buses, cars, trucks, etc. - using the latest technology. Invited guests are EU transport ministers, the EU Commission and European industry organizations in the telecom and automotive industry. SAFER's partners Volvo Cars, Volvo Group, Scania are some of the companies that will showcase the latest automotive technologies, such as the use of geofencing.
