Exciting News: SAFER is organizing Sweden’s first national road safety conference!

Dec, 05 2024

Today, we received the fantastic announcement that we have been entrusted with organising the very first National Road Safety Conference in Sweden! Together with Trafikverket and SKR (Sveriges Kommuner och Regioner), we are deeply honored to take on this important mission.

There’s a clear need for a national platform to bring together stakeholders from various sectors to collaborate on reducing injuries and fatalities in traffic. With the previous Tylösand Seminar no longer in its networking format and Trafikverket's annual Results Conference continuing digitally post-pandemic, the opportunity for the industry to meet in person has been missing.

To address this, we conducted a Skyltfonden-funded feasibility study exploring the possibilities for such a conference. And now, as of today, GNS (Gruppen för Nollvisionen i Samverkan) has officially decided to move forward- with us at the helm!

We are calling to get involved - sponsors, exhibitors, hosts for site visits, and speakers. This is a unique opportunity to co-create something impactful and long-lasting for road safety in Sweden.

The event is tentatively planned for October or November 2025 at Lindholmen in Gothenburg, with a one-day conference and an afternoon/evening activity the day before. We’ll share the exact dates as soon as we can - stay tuned!

Later, SKR will take over as host, and the conference is tentatively planned as a biennial two-day event, starting in the autumn of 2026.

Very welcome!
