The Centre is also focusing on supporting government decision-making in matters of traffic safety and establishing a platform for research into traffic safety. SAFER constitutes the Swedish research platform in this collaboration. Joint projects are ongoing as well as other activities to enhance safety in China.

First industry partner in China
Geely is a leading automobile manufacturer based in Hangzhou, China and was founded in 1997. The company employs more than 50,000 people, operates 12 vehicle manufacturing plants, 9 powertrain plants, 6 knockdown kit plants, and manufactures vehicles under the Geely Auto brand.
“It is gratifying that our cooperation platform is growing and that we now have the first industrial partner based in China in place in this collaboration platform.
