Global experts gather for 7th child safety conference to advance car passenger safety
The 7th Child Safety Conference, organised by the FFI project "Car Passenger Safety – to the Next Level," was held on May 31, 2024. This biannual event began in 2009 and this year featured 74 participants from 12 countries and 32 affiliations, including universities, car manufacturers, child seat manufacturers, protection system producers, crash test dummy manufacturers, consulting firms, insurance companies, child seat retailers, bloggers, and traffic safety organisations.
The conference was moderated by Kristy Arbogast from the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and John Bolte from Ohio State University. Hosts Mats Svensson and Lotta Jakobsson oversaw nine presentations from five countries across three continents.
