Jordanka Kovaceva – our most recent SAFER Doctor!

Sep, 20 2022

Jordanka successfully defended her doctoral thesis “Methods and models for safety benefit assessment of advance driver assistance systems in Car-to-cyclists conflicts” today and we have a new SAFER doctor in our community.

Jordanka Kovaceva is a researcher at Chalmers University, Division of Vehicle Safety since 2015. She has over 9 years’ experience working on naturalistic driving data using the largest naturalistic datasets in EU and US—euroFOT, UDrive and SHRP2. SAFER connected projects included in Jordanka’s work are for example Prospect, UDRIVE, MICA and MeBeSafe.

The opponent was associate Professor Shan Bao, Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering, University of Michigan-Dearborn, Michigan. Jordanka’s main supervisor has been Jonas Bärgman, Chalmers and the examiner was Prof. Marco Dozza, Chalmers.

We wish Jordanka all the best in her future career.
