New member in SAFER management team

SAFER has a new member from in the management team, Matteo Rizzi, Trafikverket. Matteo has a long experience of working with traffic safety related research and analysis. Matteo will work as research leader for Vision zero in the management group. He will help secure that SAFER works towards the overall aim to support the Swedish bold vision "Vision Zero".

Matteo came to Sweden in 2003 as an exchange student within the Erasmus program to study road safety at Linköping University. After finalising his master degree he started working at the Swedish Transport Administration, with e.g. accident analysis, accident investigation, accident assessment and safety assessment based on STRADA and in depth studies. He started his doctoral studies at Monash University's accident research center (MUARC) in 2010 before he started as a researcher at Folksam / Chalmers in 2012.

Matteo’s doctor thesis was about the importance of ABS braking on motorbikes. Finally, he started again at the Swedish Transport Administration two months ago, where he works as an analyst.
