News name for one of SAFER's research areas
The Research area Systems for accident prevention has a new name; Systems for accident prevention and automated driving.
The reason for the name change is to make it even clearer that SAFER's has a strong focus on self-propelled vehicles.
- The research focus in the group has included automation and self driving vehicles also in the past, but to make it more visual and clear to our members we have slightly changed the name, Malin Persson, SAFER's communication manager, explains.
Different aspects of automation is however also covered in the other groups, e.g. research related to human machine interface is performed in the Road user behaviour, methods for data collection in the Safety performance evaluation research area and injury prevention when entering new seating positions in AD vehicles is investigated in the Human body protection group.
