SAFER represented in FISITA and ERTICO

SAFER’s director Magnus Granström has recently been elected as member in FISITA’s working group for Intelligent Safety Group and John-Fredrik Grönvall, SAFER’s infrastructure leader for Naturalistic driving data and FOT, is now representing Chalmers in ERTICO’s strategy committee.

FISITA is the international network for automotive engineers, with a reach to over 200,000 engineers in 35 countries and provides a global platform for knowledge exchange between industry, societies and academia, helping to guide the future direction of the automotive mobility engineering profession. One of the working groups is the Intelligent Safety Group being an international thought leadership group for intelligent safety, utilising the knowledge, expertise and leadership of the group to inform a progressive and influential agenda of work which will be identified as authoritative within the global automotive and mobility systems community. ERTICO – ITS Europe is a public-private partnership of 120 companies and organisations representing service providers, suppliers, traffic and transport industry, research, public authorities, user organisations, mobile network operators, and vehicle manufacturers. The work focuses mainly on Connected & Automated Driving, Urban Mobility, Clean Mobility, and Transport & Logistics. ERTICO is the organiser of the annual ITS regional and global Congress in Europe. 

The role of the ERTICO Strategy Committee is: to drive and validate the overall strategy in the context of objectives, activities and positioning, to review the alignment of ERTICO activities with the strategy (events, projects etc.), as well as to foster cooperation between ERTICO activities and to identify and propose ERTICO initiatives.
