SAFER welcomes new partner project: Interoperable Roadside Unit (RSU) Prototype
SAFER has a new partner project in road safety: Interoperable Roadside Unit (RSU) Prototype, led by MittLogik Solutions AB in collaboration with RISE, and funded by Vinnova/FFI.
The project follows on from MittLogik’s previously completed pre-study “Safer Crossways using I2V” and aims to take the next step toward practical solutions for a safer, more cooperative traffic environment.
"The challenge of automated driving isn't just about the vehicle; it's about how the vehicle interacts with its environment," said Abhilash Balan, Architect at Mittlogik. "By developing truly interoperable RSUs, we can provide critical, real-time safety information to vehicles and accelerate the adoption of I2V technology, which is essential for building a truly safe and cooperative transport system.
