Nov, 19 2017

Today, November 19, it is two years since the inauguration of Revere, a vehicle lab in which high-tech research on future self-driving vehicles and technologies that can save lives in traffic is ongoing under the SAFER research umbrella.

The team found that there was a need to create a value-enhancing kit between this new real-world test environment, academic science and advanced simulation environments. The first thought of an accessible laboratory for advanced vehicle research was born. Then, November 19, 2015, Revere, a small-scale, easily accessible and efficient research laboratory with excellent research competence opened at Lindholmen Science Park, Gothenburg, the heart of the Swedish automotive industry.

Since its inception, several research projects have been performed successfully and there are room for more. The most important success factors have been the availability of the advanced test environment, the complete research platform, skilled researchers and of course fruitful collaboration between society, industry and academia.
