TADDO2 – Advancing Safer and More Reliable Self-Driving Vehicles
We are excited to announce TADDO2, a new research and innovation project designed to support the development of self-driving vehicles! The project aims to create a framework for "trustworthy DevOps" by combining fast and flexible software development from the IT world with the strict safety standards required for autonomous vehicles.
Why is TADDO2 important?
Self-driving vehicles have the potential to improve traffic safety, reduce emissions, and make traffic flows more efficient. However, ensuring that each software update is safe and reliable is crucial. TADDO2 addresses this challenge by developing methods that combine quick updates with rigorous safety checks.
The value of TADDO2
- Faster development: TADDO2 enables quicker updates to vehicle functions without compromising safety.
- Increased safety: Every development step includes a complete and convincing safety case before deployment.
- Global impact: The project strengthens Sweden’s automotive industry and contributes to a more sustainable future for both the environment and the economy.
About the project
- Duration: June 2024 – May 2027
- Budget: 31 million SEK (funded by VINNOVA/FFI)
- Partners: Astus, CAG Syntell, Einride, KTH, Magna Electronics, Qamcom, Scania
Expected results
TADDO2 will develop new methods and knowledge to enable the safe introduction of self-driving vehicles. Results will be shared through publications and workshops, helping to strengthen Sweden’s position as a leader in traffic safety and digital innovation.
