Mar, 06 2020

Ron Schindler successfully held his licentiate seminar "Towards an Improved Safety Benefit Assessment for Heavy Trucks - Introduction of a framework for the combination of different data sources" on March 6. Ron Schindler is a PhD student at the Division of Vehicle Safety in the crash analysis and prevention group. He graduated from University of Stuttgart and Chalmers University with a Double-Master-Degree in 2015. He is now working in the EU-funded project AEROFLEX which aims on designing the next generation of heavy goods vehicles. His research focuses on the analysis of in-depth road databases and naturalistic driving data to conduct safety benefit evaluations of future active safety systems. András Bálint has been main supervisor, Giulio Bianchi Piccinini co-supervisor, and Robert Thomson examiner. The discussion leader is Jesper Sandin, Senior Researcher at VTI. AEROFLEX, a EU project, has sponsored part of Ron's work.
