Welcome back to work

Aug, 21 2020

Dear SAFER friends,

The SAFER secretariat hope that you’ve all been able to enjoy a nice Swedish summer with some well deserved rest. We certainly have, but now we are excited to kick-off work again and look forward to seeing you all again! We have some exciting projects, seminars, workshops and other collaborations in the pipeline the coming months. Welcome to join  our SAFER Update meeting on September 15 to learn about the plans and activities, se outlook invitation attached.

SAFER’s appreciated Thursday Seminars (https://www.saferresearch.com/news/schedule-safers-thursday-seminars-autumn-2020) will be back September 3rd with presentations from two new SAFER Partners, 4s AB and Asymptotic, not to be missed! We have decided that the seminars will continue in its current online form only. We miss our lunches and the nice dynamic these offer but the current situation does not allow for larger physical gatherings. Also in September, Lindholmen Science Park celebrate 20 years of innovative power. Celebrations will culminate with the Lindholmen Open Days, September 15-17. SAFER will contribute to these celebrations, more news and info shortly.

SAFER continues to monitor the situation concerning Covid-19. The office will be open with normal operation and you are most welcome to drop by for meetings or use our touch-down desks for work. SAFER follows Chalmers and Folkhälsomyndighetens guidelines and we all need to pull together to limit the spread of this virus. Following Chalmers guidelines we will limit the number of persons in our meeting rooms. When using the meeting rooms we encourage you to leave at least one chair empty between you and colleagues or guests. There will be hand sanitizers and disinfectant wipes across the office. Please keep an arm’s length distance to others at all times when possible.

The secretariat will be on site most working days with some occasional days working from home or at external meetings. Please do not hesitate to contact any one of us if you have questions.

Now we charge forward in our work towards meeting our vision, that all road users should travel safely in the road transport system!
