Anders Kullgren, division of Vehicle Safety, department of Applied mechanics, welcomes you to his lecture.

Evaluation of Road Transport Safety Technology and Their Implementation

Anders Kullgren has since 1989 been employed by Folksam Insurance Company working with traffic safety research, and since 1995 he has been the head of the research activities at Folksam. Anders Kullgren completed his PhD in personal injury prevention in 1998 at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm. Since 2002 he is an Associate Professor at Chalmers University of Technology.

During the 22 years of research Anders Kullgren has experiences from several fields within the road traffic safety research area, but the focus has been analyses of real-world crashes.

Anders Kullgren will provide an overview of rear-world data analysis with special reference to effectiveness studies of safety technology but also regarding their implementation. He will further review national and international collaborative activities with Chalmers and other institutes. He will also give an outlook on research needs and potential fields of collaborative research.
