Sensor systems that observe what happens in the traffic outside the vehicle are key components in various active safety systems for supporting the driver to systems for accident avoidance and accident (crash) severity mitigation. Passive restraint systems can also be pre-crash activated.
Earlier SAFER seminars have covered C2X communication, microwave radars and far infra-red sensors (Night Vision). This seminar will cover vision-based sensors, mono-vision and stereovision. A general approach to develop an object detection system will be illustrated, based on an example from the development of Pedestrian Detection in Night Vision.
The seminar is free of charge and open for all.
Welcome!
