Unsupervised self-driving - what is safe enough and how to achieve it?

Abstract:
Proving safety of the productis a greater challenge than ensuring electric and electronic system integrity. The safety case needs to argue that the frequency of crashes caused by the robot in real life traffic will be lower than a certain level. A discussion about requirements and how to reach them without having to perform exhaustive testing will be presented.
