Chalmers Industriteknik is a research institute that offers academic excellence in several areas strongly connected to, or enabling, SAFER’s research areas; e.g. innovation, protection systems, machine learning, AI-methodologies and application areas, digitalization, data science, research infrastructures, materials science as well as expertise in leading complex collaboration environments and large EU projects.
Chalmers Industriteknik undertakes several different types of research tasks and investigations connected to road safety, including for example crash safety, materials science and different types of gender equality issues in traffic. They have been involved in the development of a female crash test dummy and addressed female whiplash injury protection in several projects with SAFER partners.
