SAFER THURSDAY webinars - AUTUMN 2021
The schedule for our Thursday lunch seminars autumn 2021 is now set and we are looking forward to meeting you online. We are back with inspiring and knowledgeable seminars about vehicle and traffic safety September 2nd. The main objectives with the seminars are to share knowledge about our research and other topics related to saving lives in traffic. We aim for inspiration to create new projects and boost dialogue and collaboration in our network.
This term the seminars are hosted by selected Competence network leaders, some SAFER partners and other themes of interest, including Open Research projects at AstaZero and the SAFER Pre-study program. Due to the sharp increase in interest for these seminars and the ongoing pandemic we will continue to hold the seminars exclusively online. Don't miss the opportunity to learn and network, a warm welcome to our seminar series during the autumn!
SAFER researchers that are included in our contact list will get personal invitations to the seminars. If you are a SAFER partner but not currently active in the network and would like to join the community and the seminars, please contact Mikael (redlich@chalmers.se) to be added to the invitation list.

The SAFER Thursday webinar on 21/10 is hosted by ‘Traffic Safety & Behaviour’ research group from Lund University. The group consists of 4 senior researchers and currently just one PhD student (area to be improved). The group major interest is design and evaluation of road infrastructure measures that promote safe and smooth interactions in traffic. The methods employed are behavioural and traffic conflict observations (in real-world and simulated environments), accident modelling, road safety audit and inspection.
Since 2020, we have been working, together with TU Delft and ICTCT, on setting up the ‘Traffic Safety Research: an interdisciplinary journal’, which was finally launched just a couple of month ago (www.tsr.international).
