Welcome to a SAFER Thursday lunch seminar in which the Volvo Safety Report 2022 will be presented by the Volvo Trucks Accident Research Team!
August 31, Anna Theander will present parts of the content of Volvo Group's recently published safety report. Anna has together with her colleagues analyzed a large number of accidents from several National European databases and compiled all these data to an updated picture regarding accidents between Heavy Goods Vehicles and Vulnerable Road Users (VRU, i.e. pedestrians, cyclists, moped and motorcycle riders).
Based on statistics available in Europe, the presentation will give you insights on WHAT are the most common accidents between heavy trucks and VRU, cause of accident and HOW to prevent or/and avoid them.
The networking lunch is served between 11.30-12.00, and the seminar starts at 12.00.
