Pierluigi Olleja awarded PhD at Chalmers University of Technology

Pierluigi Olleja, Chalmers University of Technology, has successfully defended his PhD thesis Driving Behavior and Safety Targets: A Naturalistic Perspective, March 31, 2026.

The research, supervised by Jonas Bärgman with co-supervisors Gustav Markkula and Malin Svärd, and examiner Marco Dozza, focuses on how driver behaviour and data influence safety targets and the evaluation of ADAS and automated vehicles.

Opponent was Simeon Calvert (TU Delft), and the grading committee consisted of Birsen Donmez, Christer Ahlström, and Tobias Düser (with Jonas Fredriksson as substitute).
