How do municipalities work strategically and operationally to improve road safety? In this seminar, representatives from City of Helsingborg and Jönköping Municipality will share experiences from their ongoing road safety work and discuss the challenges and opportunities they face in creating safer transport environments.

Drawing on practical examples from local implementation, the seminar will provide insights into how municipalities address road safety through planning, infrastructure, data-driven decision-making, and collaboration with other stakeholders. The speakers will also highlight current needs and challenges from a municipal perspective, offering valuable input on where research and innovation can contribute to future road safety improvements.

The seminar provides an opportunity to learn from real-world experiences and strengthen the dialogue between municipalities, researchers, and industry on the development of safer and more sustainable transport systems.

Practical Information

SAFER Thursday lunch seminars are held both at the SAFER office, Lindholmen Innovation District, building Kuggen, Lindholmsplatsen 1 or online (Teams).

• In-person attendance: Lunch will be provided at the SAFER office, starting at 11:30 AM. The seminar will then be held in a hybrid format from 12:00 to 12:45 PM. Registration is required for lunch. Please register for lunch by 12:00 PM on the Tuesday before the seminar.
• Online attendance: No registration is needed. Simply join via the Microsoft Teams link sent to all SAFER partners ahead of the event. The seminar is held in a hybrid format from 12:00 to 12:45 PM.
